The Windows 10 upgrade doesn't uninstall rival browsers from users' machines, but if users choose to restore Chrome or Firefox as their default browsers, they must launch their browser of choice. Since this didn’t happen on Windows 10 and 11, Firefox relies on other aspects of the Windows environment to provide users with an experience similar to that offered by Windows Edge when users choose Firefox as their default browser.
